^they who matter most^

My family - a post dedicated to them.

My family loves to travel, not just to faraway places like Holland but also to good 'ol Pulau Ubin. And when we travel, we live by the motto: "When in Rome, do as the Romans do". Hence, the babi kuling in Bali (where we had absolutely no idea what we were consuming) and the ants-filled and unlockable-toilet-door tent in Batam.

We never stay in hotels of more than 4 stars; I've only been on 1 tour and we've travelled to more than 10 countries. The thing we love to do most as a family? Relax. Seriously, what my family does best is facing the great ocean or sitting in the backyard of a countryside inn with a great book in our hands. Well, other than my mom at least. :)

I love holidays with my family...counting down to the 16th of May 2007. Till then, I'll remember the great times we've had...

^Internship^

Today was a bad day: Bad cramps. Rush to print RH Ed issue 8. Term paper to complete. Sewing of wheelchair to be done. In the midst of it all, I received a call. The call I have been waiting weeks for...

"Hi, is this Penelope? This is Penny calling from Forever Jewels. It is regarding the Retail Management Trainee internship you applied for..." *weehoo* *jumps up and down!!*

oh yeah..oh yeah..oh yeah..

Yeah yeah..it's just an interview but still..... *grins from ear to ear*

Now, all I can do is pray. *crosses fingers*

Dang! I wish I really stuck to my Lenten fast......

^Retail Therapy^

Me & hui finally went for our shopping trip yesterday! *weehoo*

1st on our agenda: a pressi for the ennies' 2nd anni & K's bdae. The month of Apr is when Penny is the brokest (if there is such a word) cos both the anniversary and bdae falls in the same month. Not including all the exam snacks..sigh...sometimes, I really wish I did print money...anyhoos, pics of the pressi (yes, Mr. Wong, there's only one cos i'm a poor student) is of cos not up as it has not yet been delivered. But rest assured, it definitely blew my bank account. *cry*

To drown my sorrows, I indulged myself in some retail therapy. Talk about making (financial) matters worse. But the two babes concluded: never mind how poor we are, as long as we got a good buy, we're happy girls. :D Which explains how I ended up having to survive the rest of the month on $70 only. heh.

~spoils for the day~

Bikini - $29.70
Necklaces - 2 for $14.90
Body mist from C&E - $28
Hp pouch - $4.90
Goldlion belt (not pictured) for K - $29

Total damage - $106.50.

Retail therapy experience - Priceless.

^ME3102 - Team Velace^

It's been a rough 2 semesters for Team Velace but we've done it! Well, almost. Just a presentation and exhibition to go BUT, the jist of the work's done, on my part at least. :D So, to chronicle this remarkable journey, I have collated pics from the two resident photographers for this entry. Thanks Faz & Steph!

The team has got its ups and downs, moments of tension and of joy. The chair's been a headache but also a source of pride. We've gotten through all problems, physical and emotional. What counts, is that we've managed to finish a project tougher and more gruelling than others.
