To K's kong kong who passed on the 14th of Jun 07:

You led a life filled with love and laughter. For the short 2 years I've known you, there was never a time that went without humour and laughter.

You led a life by example that will be carried on by those you left behind. Seeing the love your grandchildren have for you, I have a renewed respect for you sir.

Those 5 days spent in Seksyen 17 have touched and inspired me. I strife to lead a life like yours - with love, respect and by example. I have learnt much from you kong kong.

I never stopped thanking God for giving me K and now I thank Him too, for giving you to him.

^GSS - clothes, shoes, books & more..^

It's official - Penny has turned into a shopaholic.

The recent sales during the Great Singapore Sale (GSS) have been absolutely irresistable I must say! The day after my first round of shopping, I ended up with a bandaged ankle.

Goodness knows why but I do suspect it was from overwalking. *haha* Since then, I have gone for approx 5 more rounds but with no more injuries.
Since I'm too lazy to take photos of all my great bargains, I shall just give a rough breakdown of Penny's GSS adventures..

oh, am my family has finally started on the revamp of our living room. First up - a new 42" TV!! *woot* Pity it wasn't the 130" one. heh..kidding..

^Girls Nights Out^

Of late, I've been spending much (long overdue) time with the girls. Especially now that Jess's exams are over.. :) Congrats darling..

So, we stuffed our faces with sushi, went clubbing and just chatted. It's been a long time since we've been able to do that hasn't it. Looking forward to more girlie outings.. :) And may we have a successful clubbing session where all 4 of us are present and on time... *crosses fingers*

^Results celebration^

The 26th of May was D-day for some...and I was expecting it to be one for me too. It was the day Mechanical Engineering Year 3 results were released. Unfortunately, that day was rather busy for me and I thus put off the checking till 27th morning. (Think I was just scared :S)

*drum roll*

Penny had her best result yet! Sem CAP: 4.0/5.0 *weehoo*

Okay, prob to many it ain't fantastic...but still...I'M HAPPY :D Dear K was the first to know (sorry for waking you up..heh) and he was real nice to take me out for a celebratory dinner @ Modesto's, Vivocity... *weehoo*

^men^

I've just completed me latest drama serial, Devil Beside You. Yeah, I'm into this kind of mushy love stories. Guess the draw is: they seldom happen in real life.

Which is my point actually...why don't they? Too much drama? heh. Well, ain't that what makes life interesting? Personally, I feel the most significant difference between reel and real life is, Men.

I ain't no feminist chick but having watched a few of these serials, I see no differance in the female characters compared to the average Jane Doe. Well, except for a few pretty facial features and body parts BUT that's not the point...all women act and expect the same on and off screen! But not the other gender...onscreen, their moments of sweetest simply makes your heart melt..probably cause the script was pre-written. In reality, they'll rather dig their hearts out than admit "no matter where you run or hide, I'll always find you. No matter what."

So what is it with men and sweetness? Tonight I tried to coerce tender and heart-melting words from a rather stoned and beer-ified K but hmm...it was a rather funny attempt. Anyhoos, he said that if he told me anything, it'll spoil the surprise. :) What surprise I have no idea but...that was kinda sweet in its own way I guess..
People say men are from Mars and women from Venus, hence the lack of understanding and communication gap between the two. Most of the time I can't help but agree...ahh...Love: a joy to some, a burden to others. Hard to live with it yet you can't live without it.
Like men.
