If you really think about it, mourning is a selfish act.

When you lose someone, you lament on how sad life is without him/her. You miss the times you spent together and every corner you turn seems to present a memory of what has been. You think about what he/she used to bring into your life: comfort in times of sadness, a listening ear in times of frustration and a companion to share happy moments with.

How often do we think of the other? The one whom we have lost.

Isn't he/she happier now that they are with the Lord? Aren't they in heaven with no more pains, worries or sadness? Shouldn't we be happier?

In remembrance of Emeritus Gregory Yong who was called home to the Lord on 28 Jun 08.

"Do not pray for me. I want to go home."
